heated CPAP hose

Posted by buckthorn on November 17, 2005 at 12:34:14:

My sleep doc has recommended that I retry CPAP using a heated hose for a month.

I gave up on CPAP several years ago because it plugged up my nose every night. I tried a heated humidifier but my bedroom is so cold I got a bath whenever I turned over. He said that the new heated hose eliminates that problem.

He also suggested trying an auto-titrating blower but said that would only be to get the right pressure and that I should then switch to a constant pressure blower. He said that people are sometimes bothered when the machine changes pressure.

Does he know what he's talking about?
