Runny Nose and Sneezing after CPAP

Posted by Phooey on November 23, 2005 at 09:52:56:

Do (Did) any CPAP users wake up with a runny nose and/or sneezing in the morning? I have been using CPAP since March and this has not gone away. Since October I am also sneezing every morning. I have always used a heated humidifier. I clean the foam filter (Respironics REMstar) once a week and changed the white filter last month.

I was hoping the runny nose would disappear after my sinuses got used to the machine (pressure is at 11) but this has not happenned. My doctor just prescribed a nasal spray, but to no avail. Anyone know what is going on? ANY input would be appreciated. Thanks.
