If you have never used CPAP, I can't tell you for sure you will like it or if it will work for you but if you did you might reconsider the surgery. I really love my CPAP, it corrects my apnea and lets me rest, and I don't find it uncomfortable, I barely notice it to tell the truth. For me it has been great and I would not consider surgery as long as it works. do answer the question yes cpap air flow is through sinus if you are using a nasal mask. it will keep your air ways open. if you use a full face mask you can breath through your mouth, the jaw position should not matter, because the air is what keeps the airways open. You may want to try cpap before surgery. but what every you decide I hope it works for you, and you get the sleep and rest you need.
