There is really no 'normal' air pressure using an auto. There is an average pressure and a 95 percentile pressure, but these are not referred to as normal.

There are limit pressures as well. This is the window in which the machine can operate.

Sounds like you need a s/w evaluation of the night study data to determine if you are still having apneas when the pressure is going to it's higher levels. If no apneas are being recorded, then, technically, that high limit of 10 could possibly come down even more to address your air swallowing problem.

You may be having the problem that so many people have...a pressure that is strong enough to eliminate all apneas is too strong for the body to feel comfortable with.

Setting the upper limit will limit the machine's ability to deliver an air pressure that isn't really helping.
