Pulmonary Hypertension

Posted by Dog Lover on January 30, 2006 at 20:12:03:

I have been recently diagnosed with sleep apnea and have been using a CPAP machine for the last week. Before my diagnosis and still now I have trouble breathing during the day. One of my doctors has told me that the breathing problem is pulmonary hypertension but is unrelated to the sleep apnea. Another doctor has told me that the pulmonary hypertension is a result of the sleep apnea and once the apnea is under control the pulmonary hypertension will be under control. Has anyone else been diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension with sleep apnea and what were you told? Did your daytime breathing improve after using the CPAP maching? How long before you noticed a difference?
