Going to the doctors and getting a sleep test is the best way to know whats the matte with your sleeping. They are looking for sleep apnea, but the test monitor many things and can determine yes or no to sleep apnea, but they call also tell you other things or conditions you may be suffering. You may also have acid reflux, which maybe giving you the liquid choking feeling, this can also contribute to sleep apnea. I am not sure on your other symptoms but I know for myself, it had affects on my short term memory. I could forget things in the middle of doing them. Sleep disorders should not go unexamined, I know that I wish I had not put it off as long as I did. Go get a sleep test you wont regret it, its the first step to getting better
