comfort

Hello friends,
I am new to this site and I felt talking to someone with sleep apnea would help me to better understand my problem.
Let me first say that I suffer to the point that my wife has to kick start my breathing in the middle of the night, I occasionally wake up with headaches in the morning that last hours, I often feel sleepy on my drive home each day, I become irritable and I occasionally deprive my wife of needed attention because of little motivation. I have been diagnosed with sleep apnea and I have started using a Repironics Bipap machine for about a week and a half. Gradually, I have been able to tolerate the machine from 2 hours to the longest of 6 hours. For the first time in 2 years I dreamed and I guess that means I reached the ultimate stage of sleep. I felt great but I'm having difficulty sleeping on my side with the nasal mask. The straps are uncomfortable with minimum tension (before leaks)and I can't go the distance. I have read dozens of reviews on masks and it seems as if the technology is still advancing. I ordered a comfort curve from Respironics that was released in 2005. The mask looks like I could tolerate it. Does anyone have any other suggestions.
