The beauty of an autopap is that it can determine the best pressure for you.
I think it is much more accurate than a retitration study.
If 12 is his guess, then it may be proper to set it for 8-14 or 8-16 and he can see the effect after a few nights data on the smartcard.
It can also be used as a cpap if both settings are set to 12, in this case.
It seems that most docs are very ignorant on the APAP.
