You said that "Sleep Apnea is not a sexy disease". I think you are right. At present, there is this whole anti-obesity campaign going on these days ("Supersize me", etc.) One result, is that we being told that our sleep apnea is our own faults. For me, this is worrysome. Maybe the research might not a top priority for the reason that people might eroneously think we brought this upon ourselves. Yet, many people (including myself) who have apnea are not overweight or obese. I think we deserve the same funding and effort that breast cancer and AIDS gets. We should stand up for ourselves to get it too!
