Hello Janfan

The mask I am using "comfort Select" straps do not go around my neck, the straps mainly go around my head. I have found this particular mask more comfortable the my other mask, Profile Lite which is gel mask with a headgear doesn't go around you neck.

That other one wore out so I got another mask the comfort select, head gear is ok and not much of hinderance at night. Easy to remove, but half the time I keep my mask on even thou I go the restroom at home. The machine is still running and I hook myself up if I wanted to go back to sleep. Mine is nasal mask
