How long?

Posted by kettlebell on February 08, 2006 at 06:26:22:

I am sure there are as many situations as there are people in the world, but how long can I reasonably expect to wait to see real long-term reduction in daytime sleepiness? I have been on Auto PAP for one month. My Remstar is set between 6-12 cm's of pressure and I usually register between the 8-10 range. AHI is usually under 5. I have now been able to keep it on for 5 hours per night or so before I pull it off. I feel I have adapted pretty well so far, but I only feel a slight improvement in daytime sleepiness. Do I need to be able to keep it on 7-8 hrs. for several months before I feel normal again? Mouth leaks and mask leaks are not much of a problem.
