nasal pillow problem

Hi,
I have tried several different variations of nasal pillows ( can't wear a mask ) and all have been relatively uncomfortable. I had a thought, and was wondering, has anyone heard of using the tubing they use for oxygen in hospitals and adapting it to a cpap machine? Any help would greatly be appreciated.
