If you live in the U.S., you're not supposed to do this, so I'll assume that you live elsewhere. It doesn't sound like the "jolts" that you're reporting are from the machine or from the underlying condition. That is unless the machine is amlfunctioning or you're exeriencing momentary power outages. This was my problem when I fist started using CPAP (they rewired my entire street after I complained a few times).

You should speak to your sleep doctor about the possiblity of additional sleep disorders, especially PLMS.
