I have written many posts about Nasal Aire II, but believe the best way to use it is to make your own headband (search "mimi" on past boards}.
A nice thing about N/A II is, since the nostril piece is separate, the angle into the nose can be tilted a little after you have it on, by twisting the connections part of a turn on each side. Nasal Aire II does have to be firm against a wearer's face or it will tend to balloon and stretch away from the nostrils.
I've also mentioned previously that I wear mine with the hose connection in the back, since I sleep on my side, or more likely, my back using a small pillow. I really didn't like having it back around my neck and attaching to the hose under my chin. Also, the provided bolo velcro to hold it together in the back can crimp the tubing and shut off your air.
I don't find it "stiff", though.
