Daytime Breathing Trouble

Posted by hertz1993 on February 13, 2006 at 19:14:21:

I have been recently diagnosed with sleep apnea and been put on a CPAP machine which I have been using for about a month. My sleep apnea was discovered because I was experiencing daytime shortness of breath with slight exertion. The doctors have also diagnosed me with secondary pulmonary hypertension as a result of the apnea.I am frustrated however because I have not seen an improvement in my daytime breathing even after being on the CPAP like the doctors said that I would. Has anyone else had this problem and how long did it take you to see results. Also, the doctors have recommended that I exercise which is difficult becuase of the shortness of breath. Does anyone have any suggestions or have you done anything that has worked for you. I am not a very patient person and I am quickly becoming frustrated with the lack of results!
