When I first began cpap therapy, I developed sinus infections. Discovered that I had allergies and the post nasal drip was blowing up into my sinuses. I needed treatment for the allergies.

Are you using a heated humidifier? That is a great help if you have sinus trouble.

The "raw Lungs" is a concern. I think you should see your doctor to check for any secondary infections from the sinus infection. Were you on antibiotics for the sinus infection? Sometimes people need a second course of antibiotic to completely clear up a sinus infection.
