GoodKnight 420G noise and smell

Posted by Tewks on February 15, 2006 at 07:57:22:

Hello all. I have been using a cpap for over 6 years now. I have been using a Resperonics machine, which I was very happy with. However after 6 years of nightly use, it has given out. I got my replacemnet machine, which is a GoodKnight 420G. It males a high pitched whining noise when it runs, which actually fluctuates as you breath. Also, it has a very strong plastic chemical smell, which is coming out of the machine itself. I was wondering if anyone else has had a bad experience with this brand of machine, or if this is an isolated incident. Thanks in advance.
