Posted by murph on February 16, 2006 at 16:41:18:I've been on CPAP for almost six months and things seemed to be improving. In the last couple of weeks I've started to feel terrible again and I'm wondering if it could be because I've lost about 20 pounds. I know that I should be retitrated when I lose weight, but I'm planning to lose 30-50 more pounds and I hate to jump the gun on it because I don't know how often my insurance will pay for a study. I'm hoping to need less pressure as I lose weight (and eventually, maybe even get off CPAP), but can losing weight have lessened the effectiveness of the CPAP therapy in the meantime? (Work-related stress could have something to do with my fatigue, but I can't believe that's the whole issue. I'm really exhausted, almost to the point of being non-functional. )
Thanks,
Murph
