Don't lose heart. Writing/reading on this site is the first step to getting things under control. You have already discovered that each individual patient has to take charge of their situation. There are lots of medical types/reps/techs etc who are good, but there are also a bunch who are not very helpful or knowledgeable or both. I use an autopap, but you have to make the person you got it from to get you some help to get it setup properly and find out how you can check to see if it is responding to your needs. On mask issues, I have tried more than a dozen different ones over the years. You have to be hard-nosed (no pun intended) with where ever you get your masks from. If it doesn't fit right and/or feel right tell your doctor to give you a prescription that says "fit mask for comfort and compliance." Your children need a rested mom and you need a decent night's sleep. You may just have to be a pain-in- the-neck to anyone who tries to shrug you off. If someone says they can't help you, ask - well who can? I'll climb down from my soap box now, and wish you good luck with your situation.
