Hi - thank you to all for your replies. I went to the sleep clinic last night for my first night on the CPAP. It was quite an experience!

I slept from 11pm to 5:30 a.m., awaking several times throughout the night, mainly because of the feel of the mask and wires etc.

AND I feel like a million bucks! I can't believe how much energy I have today. WOW.

I found the nose mask and chin strap somewhat uncomfortable after the first 3-4 hours, but hey, I'll get used to it if I am going to feel this much better.

By the way - talk about severe - I made a mistake - I have apnea an average of 91 times per hour and awake 77 times per hour - oxygen level around 80.

(55 wow that is something!)

I guess I have to wait a week or two to get my machine at home, but it will sure make a big difference in my life.

thanks again for your replies.
