DME

Posted by annakarenina on February 21, 2006 at 16:04:12:

I'm recently diagnosed. I've had one very disappointing meeting with a DME. She didn't seem to know what she was doing. It felt like she just gave me a mask that was lying around said go home and use it an bring it back to get titrated. What should I expect? Should I be able to try on different masks? Is there any relation between information in my sleep study and the kind of mask that would be appropriate for me? What is the minimum number of hours one needs to sleep with the mask to get an accurate measurement of the pressure needed?
Thanks
