The gas is ingested air from the cpap. Most people adjust to the forced air and stop "swallowing" it. Others, like myself, never do. I put up with the problem, along with a few other problems caused by cpap, for over 2 years before turning to an actual solution to the obstructive component of my apnea. Hopefully your body will adjust to the air pressure and the gassy feeling will go away.
