Posted by nosralr on February 22, 2006 at 09:48:23:I am an OSA patient and my brother is a serious narcoleptic patient. We make a great team! My lab results always put me at a pressure of 6. However, the worst sleeps in my whole life have been the 4 nights I have had in sleep labs! I just can’t sleep the same as I can at home in my own bed. With a setting of 6 I never felt any different using the machine. Since the doctors wouldn’t authorize a higher setting of 6 because of the sleep lab results I bought an auto-cpap. My setting is now from 10.5-12.2. My heart rate goes to 43-45 at night when I use the auto-cpap. However, recently I have just noticed something. I feel fatigued the most when not using a cpap machine, 2nd best when using my auto-cpap (although I am still far from how I would like to feel) and the best, yes, get this, when I have a cold and cannot wear my cpap. This has happened twice now. Is this just a coincidence, or is there something to this? Thanks.
