Hi, it is not uncommon to feel chest discomfort during the first week of use .If you have the option to rent a cpap try an auto adjust . The weight gain I can not comment on but if you are sleeping correctly your body produces a hormone that tells it that you are not hungry and I noticed that I stopped snacking between meals .
