Baz, in the U.S. the CPAP comes under the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act and, as such is considered "medically necessary equipment" which can be carried onboard as an additional carry-on piece without counting against your allowance for carry-on pieces. You just need to have a letter from your doctor verifying this. ...
Since I am a new cpap user and will be flying end of April, I was wondering how to best go about getting the letter from my doctor. I figure if I have a copy of the regulation in-hand and even a template for my doctor to follow, the odds would be better in getting his cooperation and that of the airline.
Does anyone have a link, or directions for getting what I need?
Thanks for your help!
