New user - anxiety/breathing issues

Posted by jenbeaver on February 27, 2006 at 14:49:55:

Hi - I'm new here. I've been impressed with all of the topics/discussions and thoughtful responses.
I was recently diagnosed with sleep apnea and just started using a CPAP/C-FLEX machine about 3 weeks ago. I've been pretty successful using it for about 6+ hours a night, 5 nights a week. This coincided with starting a workout program with the support of my doctor.
But, over the last week or so I feel like I'm having breathing problems during the day. Thinking more about it, I feel very anxious and not really "shortness" of breath, more like "shallow" breath. It's really bothering me to the point of feeling distracted and bordering on shaky.

I don't think I've ever had issues with panic/anxiety attacks in the past. Work is stressful (whose isn't?), but no change vs. last month or last year. I start to feel better as the day goes on and I feel better in the evening.

Is this possibly related to my CPAP? Thanks is advance for your help!
