Hi , I posted an enquiry about anxiety attacks last weekend . Initially they were worse in the morning and improved during the day . I believe there are two possible causes hypoventilation and or the cpap providing rem sleep with a distrupted pattern .To clarify, the sleep study is just a snap shot on that night. They say x pressure reduced you to only 5 or 7 apneas per hour and if there is enough apneas then you get rem sleep with a disrupted pattern .
I am currently trialling an increase in pressure by 1 unit with the supervision of the sleep lab ( by phone ) . This appears to have reduced the attacks but i occassionally get periods when my heart starts pounding .
Why do you only use cpap 5 nights?, continuous use is better for getting yourself settled .
