head cold

I have a head cold and currently use a nasal decongestant
spray which lasts for about 6 hours .Is there anything that lasts longer . I have a moustache .
I read somewhere that opening your mouth for about 2 minutes during ramp up lets air flow through and dry the nasal area .Any comments?
