I think it's safe to say different apap machines perform differently. A few years ago a poster named Perry did extensive research and analysis of the machines then on the market, although much of it is probably outdated now. At that time, there were significant differences in how the machines responded. But if you slept well with the Resmed, it's probably the better match for you.
