I also heard that you should have a narrower pressure range. My original titrated pressure is 14. When I first began I was on a CPAP. After still being tired, my pressure was increased to 16. When this didn't clear all my problems my doctor put me on an APAP. My start pressure is 12 and ending is 17. I have the software to monitor my treatment. After a month I checked it and found I spend 87% of the time on 12, 10% at 13, 2% at 14 and 1% at 15. I am feeling better so APAP certainly helps. In looking at my results I found I had the exact right range. This way my APAP is right at the pressure i need and close to the other pressures. You may want to consider slowly narrowing your pressure based on the readouts from your machine. Of course the pressure you need may change from day to day, however, you can get a more accurate range.
