That said, I see a few things of potential interest. Your apneas tripled (6 to 17) but your hypopneas went from 214 to 1! This is good overall - your AHI (apnea/hypopnea index) went down significantly. Why the hypopneas disappeared and the apneas increased is a mystery - maybe changes in the test protocol.

17 apneas in an entire night is considered light apnea, almost borderline. I would be asking your doctor why you are even on CPAP (they may know other data that you didn't mention). But I think most here would be ecstatic to have ONLY 17 apneas a night!

AHI is only one measure of apnea severity, however. Did you receive an RDI number for the sleep test? This is a more reliable indicator.

No theory as to why this happened after CPAP treatment. But on the surface, it appears that CPAP is helping reduce apneas.
