Migraines with aura

Posted by Alamo Joe on March 09, 2006 at 20:26:27:

How many have had headaches with aura, and how many were successfully treated when sleep apnea was successfuly treated?

Some ailments are associated with sleep apnea. Investigating them is difficult. Few researchers have written papers because the possible association/connection hasn't been recognized.

I am requesting information on those headaches with auras, but I would also like to hear from those who even half way think it might be useful to me.

What am I looking for? I won't know until I find it. I just look for common elements and try to blame it on sleep apnea. I do try to avoid twisting the information to fulfill my desire to blame sleep apnea for bunch of problems.

Why did I get started on this one? I was intrigued by this gal in the computer store explaining a computer application. She has headaches with aura.

It is difficult to separate headaches which occur during the latter portion of the luteal phase from headaches with aura.

Perhaps they shouldn't be considered separate ailmensts, but the literature is confusing. If you are comfortable with it, would you please include how long you were breast fed and how long you were bottle fed. The information may be confounding, but I am looking for clues.

A year or more ago I looked at ovarian cancer and decided that there was no connection with sleep apnea. Now I am not so sure that sleep apnea doesn't cause ovarian cancer. (I am still working on it.)

Thanks a bunch

P.S. I am trying to pull all of the disorders which sleep apnea causes "out of the closet" Some ladies have given me helpful information on colitis, IBS, reflux and PMS. (When we could communicate directly, one lady reported that her CPAP treatment makes her IBS to go into remission, except once a month.)
