I suffered with migraines with visual disturbances from mid-teens until my mid-forties when severe allergies were finally treated. At that time the doctor said monthly hormonal fluctuations made them worse. Since sleep apnea negatively impacts hormones, there could certainly be a relationship. I would guess the degree would depend upon individual genetic makeup.

IMHO, I think headaches are a non-specific symptom of something in the body being out of whack; there's probably a zillion reasons for headaches, including migraines. I did not have migraines during the years my sleep apnea was gradually worsening. I was breastfed, don't know how long. I was not bottlefed at all.

So, would sleep apnea cause migraines? Mmmmm . . . . I think that would be a tough one to prove any definite correlation.
