Traveling with CPAP

Posted by Phatman on March 13, 2006 at 11:08:17:

I found this subject in an archived forum dated in 2000. It talked about there not being much problem carrying your CPAP machine on board an airplane. But this was before 9/11! I would like to have current info about how easy/difficult it would be to carry my machine on board a Mexican airline (or any airline). Also, do I have to purchase additional insurance to cover the machine or willl my medical inisurance (HMO) cover it? Thanks for any help.
