Preliminary Report - No Apnea

Posted by jrgood27 on March 16, 2006 at 13:46:02:

I just spoke with my doctor who said that my preliminary sleep report didn't show apnea. I'm a bit frustrated because when I fall asleep on my back, my throat seals completely shut and I wake up. Isn't this sleep apnea? I distinctly remember this happening during my sleep study because I ended up sleeping on my back more than usual because of all the wires on my face. Does anyone no why this isn't considered apnea? I'm frustrated because I've had this problem since my early 20s and I'm not overweight and I finally found a doctor who believed me and ordered a test and now my test results say no apnea. Jenny
