I've only done air travel with my CPAP twice and I had no problems at all, either time. I flew out of Orlando International both times and was not give a hard time or subjected to extra searches. The people at the security gates seemed to know what it was.

The first time I travled anywhere with it, I went by train and there was no problem there, either. I didn't even think about insuring it. Guess that was short-sighted of me.
