Very interesting. Thanks for sharing all this. I've been using CPAP treatment for three years now, and like you would not be without it. I truly believe it has saved my life. I read with interest your mention of the heated humidifier. My machine has the heated humidifier, but after the first month or so, I quit using it and see absolutely no reason to do so. I've never had a problem from not using the humidfier, and I've never once experienced the "rainout" phenomenon that is so often the topic of complaints in this forum. There's less cleanup involved, and less worry about bacteria or fungi forming in the tank or the tubing. We have electric heat and keep the bedroom at about 68 degrees. Am I the only one who fails to understand the emphasis on the heated humidifier? Thanks again.
