I had the same experience as you are having. When I first started, I was prescribed (4 - 20cms) with Resmed S7. I felt that I was not able to breathe (under-ventilation), and felt like I was rebreathing CO2. It was very distressing. I was able to solve the problem by adjusting the device's lower limit up to 12 cms. During the first month, I downloaded my information and found that my 95th percentile was 12cms. I picked that as the lower limit and set the device to 12cms. After I did this, the feeling of underventilation went away, and I also began to sleep better. Interestingly, I noticed that when I checked my AHI stats in the morning, they were about 50% lower at 12 cms than they were at the initial 4-20 cms, and my AI figures went down to 0.0. There was some bloating for a few months, but it is gone. I think that my brain has had to learn not to swallow the air at the higher pressure. Eventually it adjusted. I am sleeping well these days.I should mention that it is against the rules of this forum for me to tell you how to adjust the device. I do respect the rules, so I will not break them.
