still new and still frustrated

Posted by missdroopythang on April 07, 2006 at 12:56:42:

Well here it is April 7th and I am still waiting to use my CPAP. I was unable to wear the mask for reasons I don't know. It just wouldn't fit my face. I called my supplier and was told that I had to get a new prescription from my doctor. Okay..done that. Now this is the reply I got. I have to call my dr...who will call my heart dr...who will call my sleep study dr. , who will get back with my heart dr, who will get back with my family dr, who will contact my supplier, who will .....(if I live that long) contact me for a time to come to my home and reset machine. This has been like this since the beginning of Dec 2005 and I am still suffering. Sorry if I sound like I'm just mad...dang, I am mad, I am hurt, frustrated, and very very tired. Please let me apologize I needed somewhere to vent. Has anyone had this trouble getting the help you needed? Also I would like to know is there a secret to putting that mask on? Guess I need to just put some baling wire around it. I was wondering why so many people are on this machine now or some type of device to help with sleeping. I don't have the support of my immediate family which makes my problem worse. They think that it is unnecessary. I am not educated and do not know how to explain to them why it works. If you can offer some advice I will listen. thank you again and sorry for exploding here.
