Gee, you must have Kaiser HMO. I empathize with you
completely. Yes, if you are working with an outside DME you DO
need another perscription for each new mask you get. After
being tortured by Apria Healthcare for almost 2 months I'm
finally supposed to get an appt. with an actual Registered
Respiratory Therapist at my HMO. I also have heart problems,
atrial fibrillation. You just have to be very proactive and
persistent and keep calling the docs to remind them of what you
need. Sorry to hear that your family is not supportive - that
makes things even more difficult. If you Google "sleep apnea"
there are a number or articles you might download and print out
to show your family. It might help. Good luck. Hang in there.
