I'm not sure I understand why you have to get the machine reset. Did something happen to it?
As for the mask, it's a very personal thing. I was lucky that my sleep doctor has many masks available and has a technician who spent a lot of time with me trying them on. I used a nasal aire and then a nasal aire II for a long time. But, I recently switched to an Autopap machine, and along with that, I switched to a Fisher-Paykel Flexifit mask. It is so soft and forms a gentle, but snug seal around only my nose. The headgear is also very soft. I have been using it for about two months now, and have no leaks.
It's really better if you can go to the DME rather than have them come to your home, if possible, so that you can see ALL masks that they have, not just the ones they want to show you. Sometimes I think they make a greater profit on one kind over another, and that influences which ones they want you to buy.
