advice for head pillow?

Posted by doznoff on April 11, 2006 at 14:07:30:

Hello,
I have been lurking awhile. Thanks to all for the great information.

I have been on CPAP a week and think I am adjusting OK. One problem I have is that if I sleep on my side, my head pillow "smushes" the mask in my nose (it is a nasal pillow type made by Swift), which disrupts the seal. I prefer the nasal pillow mask otherwise, so do not want to switch to the type that fits over the nose.

I have seen advertising for a "CPAP pillow" that supposedly is designed to use with CPAP. It looks a little cheesy to me but I was wondering if anyone had used it or if anyone has any head pillow advice. [I have no financial interest in the CPAP pillow, just wondering about it.]

Thanks,
carol
