On the humidifier setting question I suggest "trial and error".. I usually set mine to off and get more than enough water vapor. I can always tell when the canister runs out. In winter time with the central heat I may need a bit of a bump. You might have noted others on this forum seem to like to crank it up a to the max. Yet a few others prefer not to use a humidifier. Again, "trial & error"..
