The hashimoto's is treated as far as he has no longer got hypothyroid symptoms, and his TSH is 0.6. There are some papers that discuss that hashimoto's can cause OSA, but in most they say it is reversable when the hypothyroidism is resolved. Your right, the autoimmune diseases never go away, but you can at least put a lead on the ones he has. I have no idea whether his persisting fatigue belongs to the antibodies from his hashimoto's, sleep apnea, or something else. He has been living in a fatigued state for the best part of 4 years, though only developed the OSA last year.

What bothers me more then anything is that he now goes forever without taking a reasonable breath. I always thought there was a safety switch that made you take a big breath every now and then. He use to do this, I rarely see this anymore.
