1/2 of the water? You need new water every night. If you don't, you'll be breathing mold.

As far as the mouth opening, a lot of us have this problem with CPAP. For 3-4 years I had to use ace wrapping around my head to keep the jaw closed, and around the mouth to keep air leaking out.

Once when I had a sleep study, the tech was so disturbed by what I had to do that she called the Dr about it!

Ultimately, I ended up with a full face mask that didn't leak AND an oral appliance which held my jaw together. That worked best.

Haven't used CPAP for 8 months since MMA.
