Hypopneas and no desats or snoring

Posted by jrgood27 on April 19, 2006 at 10:40:38:

Hi, I just received my sleep study report and got a diagnosis of sleep apnea. I averaged 47 respiratory arousals per hour but didn't have an significant desaturations or snoring.

I've been reading some about upper airway resistance syndrome (UARS) - which I have not been diagnosed with - but my symptoms sound very much like those I've read about.

Does anyone know anything about this? Or if it can be treated successfully with CPAP? I have a titration study in 2 months but can't seem to find any info on treating someone like me. (I'm not overweight. Symptoms started 10 years ago at the age of 26)

Jenny
