Summary of Apap treatment

Posted by eyedoc on April 21, 2006 at 10:40:00:

I have rented a Resmed S8 Vantage Autoset with heated humidifier.

It is set for a min of 2 and a max of 16.

It is set to settle for 15 minutes.

My report reads as follows

Pressure 95th centile 10.2 cm H20
median Pressure 7.8
max Press 11.4

Leak 95th centile 0.34 l/sec
median leak 0.02
max leak 0.54

AHI 6.8/hr
AI 2.1
HI 4.5
Time in Apnea 0.9% of mask on time

I am fighting the machine to exhale and need some form of exhalation relief.

We are to make a determination of what to use next.

I'm thinking a Resprironics Remstar Auto with C-Flex with heated humidifier set to a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 12.

What are your thoughts?

Thanks
