Dental Appliance + CPAP Together

Posted by Questforsleep on April 25, 2006 at 21:11:49:

It is possible to increase the efficacy of CPAP with a dental appliance. I went to a dentist who specializes in OSA to have my mouthpiece made. I think that it is important to go to a professional dentist. I

I got the idea to try the combination of CPAP+dental applaince from the website of the Vancouver Sleep and Breathing Centre. I think that website is excellent. The Doctor who made it has gone to painstaking lengths to provide uptodate information on OSA. I highly recommend it. There is a good write-up and plenty of hard research and detailed endoscopic photographs which show the results. One can see how things like body posture, weight loss, dental appliances can influence the "physics" of an apnea or hyponea.
