After 5 years of being compliant but struggling and uncomfortable with cpap, I got an autopap last year. It was the best decision I ever made. I have been able to record the readings and I see that my pressure needs change due to seasonal allergies and weather.

Pressure too high has given me central apneas. But the one pressure was sometimes right, sometimes too high, sometimes too low.

With cpap I ofen felt like I was struggling to use it. Now the autopap feels like normal breathing and I don't even notice it.

In talking with friends who also have sleep apnea, it seems that if you have a simple case of sleep apnea, a cpap works fine. If you have complications from sinus, allergies, etc., you may prefer autopap.

Good luck!
