I think my son has sleep apnea

Posted by sal on May 12, 2006 at 05:02:05:

I believe my son has sleep apnea. He snores terribly and he often sounds like he is gasping for breath. It is not constant and when he sleeps on his stomach, he seems fine. I believe it is caused by his enlarged tonsils. Any time he has been to the Dr for checkups, etc. they all note he has large tonsils.

Am I better off just going to an Ear, Nose and Throat Dr. to ask about this or is there another type of Dr. who would do the diagnosis on sleep apnia and they would determine if it is tonsils or something else?
